On Wednesday, March 23, 2022, the Karbala Center for Studies and Research at the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain “AS”, in cooperation with Ahl al-Bayt University, organized its fourth preparatory seminar for the upcoming Conference on Reviving the Heritage of Karbala Scholars, which is scheduled to be held in June 2022.
The session, which revolved around (The impact of jihad fatwas in correcting the course of environment… the fatwas of the Mirza Sheikh Muhammad Taqi al-Shirazi and Sayyid Ali al-Sistani as a model) was chaired by Prof. Dr. Nazir Jabbar al-Hindawi, the scientific assistant of the KCSR, and the assistant professor, Dr. Azzam al-Rubaie, the dean of the Islamic Sciences College of at the university, and attended by the chancellor of the university, Prof. Hamid Al-Najdi, as well as the dean of the Arts college, Prof. Hashem Al-Haidari, the Professor of Law, Muhammad Al-Quraishi, in addition to professors and researchers from the university.
During the seminar, the session chair reviewed an introductory overview of the scientific and research activities done by the Karbala Center for Studies and Research, especially with regard to the registered file of the Arbaeen pilgrimage, the Karbala comprehensive civilizational encyclopedia, and the objectives and axes of the Third International Conference on Reviving the Heritage of Karbala scholars, which includes a study of the leadership and thought of Sheikh Muhammad Taqi Al-Shirazi Al-Ha’eri.
At the end of the session, the administration of the Karbala Center for Studies and Research presented a shield of thanks and appreciation and a certificate to His Eminence Sheikh Azzam Al-Rubaie for his efforts to hold the seminar and its success.
