Shabib bin Abdullah bin Shakal bin Hayy bin Jadiyah al-Mudhaji, is a well-known companion, who kept his faith until the era of Imam Ali "A.S", as he fought every battle alongside the Imam.
It was narrated by Sheikh Al-Amini as one of the companions of the Commander of the Faithful Ali Bin Abi Talib "A.S" and among the rebels against Othman bin Affan.
Even though Shabib had the honor to accompany the Commander of the Faithful "A.S", he also joined both of his Imam Al-Hassan and Imam Al-Hussein "peace be upon them" later, as he went out with Imam Al-Hussein from Medina to Mecca and to Karbala where he was martyred in the first engagement with Yazid's army.
Ibn Nama has mentioned Abu Omar al-Nahshli, as saying, "Mahran of Bani Kahal, once said: I witnessed Karbala battle with Imam Al-Hussein (peace be upon him), and I saw a man fighting a fierce fight, that whenever he attack Yazid's soldiers, he divides them, before going back to Imam Al-Hussein".
His name was also mentioned in Ziyarat al-Nahiya supplication as "Shabib bin Abdullah al-Nahshli."
