The Karbala's Civilization Encyclopedia has recorded the history of the Husseini pulpit preachers. Among them was Sayyid Hassan bin Muhammad Ali bin Hashem bin Salman bin Darwish bin Ahmed bin Yahya bin Khalifa bin Nemat Allah bin Toa'ma bin Alam al-Din from the family of Faiz al-Musawi al-Haeri.
Al- Toa'ma was a virtuous preacher, who was born and raised in the holy city Karbala in 1882 Hijri, 1865 AD.
He was a student of Fiqh "Jurisprudence" and Usool "Fundamentals" by some of the well-known scholars of Karbala, and he also studied Asfar "Verse" at the hands of Sheikh "Nemat Allah Al-Damghani" at the Hindiya Religious School. Moreover, he was passionate about preaching, as he grew up as a preacher with a strong, loud voice in the Holy Shrine of Imam Husseini "AS".
Due to his rising fame, he was invited to the Kingdom of Bahrain, as he studied there the speech sciences and logic by one of the famous Indian teachers, then he returned to Karbala, continuing his sermons and rhetoric, until he died there in 1351 Hijri, 1932 AD.
