Among the important knowledge projects adopted by the Karbala Center for Studies and Research at the holy shrine of Al-Imam Al-Hussein "pbuh" is the printing of the books that relate to the knowledge heritage of the city of Karbala, and it has been dozens of books that was issued in this field so far.
One of the important books issued by the KCSR recently is "A Comparative Study of Some Variables of the Respiratory Circulatory System of Arbaeen Pilgrims According to Gender, Age and Distance". This book is a master's degree letter presented by Prof. Ahmed Mahmoud Mahdi Al-Marsoumi.
The book is one of the series of publications of the Encyclopedia of the Arbaeen pilgrimage, and it carries within its pages the spiritual, symbolic and moral implications in the hearts of believers, especially those who are going to perform the pilgrimage on foot.
The book consists of the introduction, identification of the problem, the objective and hypotheses of research areas, and it also referred to theoretical and similar studies that considered walking as a one of the important sports regarding the re-activation of the body and the quest to eliminate excess calories that affect the functional aspects and causes low or high blood pressure. The book has also showed the causes and symptoms of blood pressure and how to modify your lifestyle to treat it and how to deal with heart beats and other influencing factors.
The book contains many important data and tables that summarize the results obtained by the investigations of Professor Ahmed Al-Marsoumi, which the most important among them were the calculation of the maximum heart rate mathematically, the impact of sports on the heart, the indicators of body mass and the respiratory rate as well as the systematic research, field procedures and the presentation of the results and discussing them.
We hope that this book will contribute to provide the local libraries and publishing houses with many information about the holy Arbaeen pilgrimage, and to be an accessible reference that researchers can read to prepare their future studies.
