The 2nd Annual Celebration of the “Muhammad Shafi`na” Festival

On Sunday, October 24, 2021, the Karbala Center for Studies and Research in the holy shrine of Imam Hussein “A. S” participated in the second annual festival organized by the General Secretariat of Shiite Shrines in the “Sayyid Idris” holy shrine located in the Karrada district of central Baghdad.

The ceremony titled as “Muhammad Shafi`na” was attended by the KCSR’s scientific assistant Dr. Nathir Jabbar Al-Hindawi, as a representative of the center, with the participation of a number of virtuous clergymen and trustees of a number of Shiite shrines throughout Iraq.

The festival was inaugurated with a fragrant recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a speech of the Deputy Secretary-General of the Shiite Shrines, His Eminence Sheikh Khalifa Al-Jawhar, during which he welcomed the attendees and congratulated them with the birth anniversary of the master of beings, Prophet Muhammad “peace be upon him and his household.”

Al-Jawhar noted that “The tidings of the forerunners of the prophets of the prophecy of the succeeding prophets benefit the generations to come, open their eyes, and make them prepared to welcome the last of prophets who was given the tidings of his prophethood. It also removes their suspicion and gives them more confidence and reassurance.
