The festival was inaugurated with a fragrant recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a speech of the Deputy Secretary-General of the Shiite Shrines, His Eminence Sheikh Khalifa Al-Jawhar, during which he welcomed the attendees and congratulated them with the birth anniversary of the master of beings, Prophet Muhammad “peace be upon him and his household.”
Al-Jawhar noted that “The tidings of the forerunners of the prophets of the prophecy of the succeeding prophets benefit the generations to come, open their eyes, and make them prepared to welcome the last of prophets who was given the tidings of his prophethood. It also removes their suspicion and gives them more confidence and reassurance.
