Positive Signs of Decrease in COVID-19 Infections in Iraq after the Arbaeen Pilgrimage

The Parliamentary Crisis Cell revealed positive signs of a decrease in Covid-19 infections and an increase in recovery cases in Iraq, Shiawaves.com reported.

Cell member Hassan Khatti said in a statement, “We have a positive sign of the health institution’s control of the existing cases, and although the infections are in the thousands, the recovery cases are far more.”

He added, “The expectation was that the number of infections would increase after the Arbaeen Pilgrimage; however we are now witnessing a decrease in infections and an increase in recoveries.”

The holy city of Karbala witnessed the arrival of more than 14 million pilgrims on Arbaeen.
