While the holy city of Karbala occupies a historical, cultural and civilizational importance for being one of the oldest and most sacred cities of the Mesopotamia, it also tops the list of cities in the Islamic sources as mentioned by solid hadiths of Ahl-al-Bayt's Imams "peace be upon them".
It is stated in the singularity of Karbala's soil and the blessing granted to it by Allah Almighty, is what Imam Ali bin Al-Hussein said: "God took the land of Karbala as a safe and blessed shrine, and if he shakes or moves the earth, Karbala shall be remained as it is, a pure soil," while The great lady Fatima al-Zahraa "peace be upon her" said after being told by her father, the great Prophet Muhammad "pbuh" that this land would be the place of martyrdom of her son Imam Hussein "pbuh", that "It is an affliction and agony to us and to the whole nation" (1).
One of the most important statements about the city of Karbala is the hadith of the Commander of the Believers Ali bin Abi Talib, that : "My son would be buried in a land called Karbala, it is the place where Allah, saved the believers who accompanied the prophet Noah."
