The representative of the supreme religious authority stressed on Friday that the return of the people to their homes after completing the Arbaeen pilgrimage to the holy shrine of Al-Imam Al-Hussein "peace be upon him", should not be as they were starting their walk for this pilgrimage.
Sheikh Abdul-Mahdi al-Karbalai said in a Friday prayer sermon held in the holy shrine of Al-Imam Al-Hussein on Friday (October 26, 2018), that "Whoever leaves the Imam's holy shrine after the commemoration of the Arbaeen pilgrimage and begins their walk home, should become another human beings with the principles of Al-Imam Al-Hussein (peace be upon him), and should be aware of the debt of the Imam upon them, so they can fulfill their pledge to the Imam and become a true example to the hadeeth (Whoever visited Al-Imam Al-Hussein knowing his statue has won the heaven).
Al-Karbalai stressed that "There are important stages in the walk toward Karbala, that is necessary for the people to be aware of and to keep them", indicating that "These stages are represented by the walk to Karbala, the pilgrimage and the stage of returning home".
He stressed that it is not a loyalty to Al-Imam Al-Hussein "peace be upon him", that the pilgrim to treat his fellow believers differently after returning from the walk to Karbala, whether it was after a day or a month or two, as to hold a grudge or envy or to drive them out of their town for trivial reasons.
His eminence has wondered about the grace that the person received if he or she was at this level of ethics and manners.
The representative of the supreme religious authority has called on whoever return to his city and his people after commemorating the Arbaeen pilgrimage about the need to preserve the principles and to make their actions and attributes as the qualities collected in the longing journey toward Al-Imam Al-Hussein (pbuh), especially in dealing with their fellow brothers and sisters.
Al-Karbalai has emphasized at the beginning of the sermon that among the important objectives of the sincere loyalist and true supporter of Al-Imam Al-Hussein "peace be upon him" in the Arbaeen walk, is the renewal of pledge and loyalty to the Imam "pbuh".
He also explained that the renewal of the pledge and loyalty means that the pilgrim addresses Al-Imam Al-Hussein by saying that he or she will go on with the Imam's path, position, ethics and jihad, as well as to keep his revolution and reform movement, no matter what kind of sacrifice and hardship will cost them for taking this path", stressing on the need to fulfill this covenant, by saying "It is important to fulfill the pledge to Al-Imam Al-Hussein (pbuh),".
