According to En.abna24.com, most of the visitors of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), walking from the far south of Iraq in the province of Basra, crossed the city of Samawah, to reach its north in the city of Al-Rumaitha, which is about (25 km) from the center of the province.
“All the cities that the visitors passed through in al-Muthanna Governorate, starting from al-Kheder district to its center in Samawa, seemed almost empty. Its people began marching to perform the Ziyarat Arba'een. As for the processions, part of them packed up their equipment, and others headed towards Karbala or the province of Babylon, to offer their service again there and be honored by it twice.”
It added: "The people of Rumaitha and its processions have prepared to receive the crowds of visitors heading to them, coming from Basra, Nasiriyah and some areas of their province who joined them. And they raced to have the honor to serve them with everything they need."
And the movement of love and thirst to meet the beloved Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) remains generated in the souls of his visitors, as in its true nature it is a state of love and adoration for the principles and values carried by God’s prophets and messengers, which Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) sought to establish with his sacrifices, and thereby he draw its path with his pure blood. Imam as-Sadeq (peace be upon him) expressed it by saying: "And is religion anything but love?"
