The Holy Quran Center of the custodianship of Imam Ali (AS) holy shrine said Quranic booths will be established on roads leading to Karbala during the Arbaeen march.
According to Quran.imamali.net, Ahmad Najafi, head of the center, said that the plan is a part of the annual Quranic activities of the center held since 2012 on Arbaeen pilgrimage.
The plan includes the establishment of Quranic booths for men and women at the courtyards of Imam Ali’s (AS) holy shrine in Najaf, Moukebs, and resting places for pilgrims.
Teaching small Surahs of the Quran to the pilgrims and correcting their Quran reading, particularly the reading of Surah Fatiha, are among the activities in the booths.
An exhibition of the Holy Quran’s scientific miracle will be held in the Moukeb of the center at the holy shrine.
The activities of the center’s computer section as well as the publications of the center will also be put on display in the Moukeb.
He stressed that the plan will be implemented under the health protocols.
Arbaeen, which is one of the largest religious gatherings in the world, comes 40 days after Ashura, the martyrdom anniversary of the third Imams in Islam, Hussein Bin Ali (AS).
Each year, huge crowds of believers flock to the Iraqi city of Karbala, where the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) is located, to perform mourning rites.
However, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Baghdad has decided to bar all foreign pilgrims from visiting Iraq for this year’s Arbaeen.
