Patriotism in the poetry of Karbala

The Karbala Center for Studies and Research has recently published the book titled "Patriotism in the poetry of Karbala" within the center's series of publications.

The book is written by the famous author "Tawfiq Hassan al-Attar", who was born in the holy city of Karbala on 1947.

The poetic patterns delivered by the book, were varied between the positions made in the 1920's revolution and the 1991's heroic public uprising were Iraqi people have sacrificed their blood for freedom, justice and humanity.

The book is limited to a brief definition of a number of literate writers of Karbala, and takes samples of their patriotic poetry to investigate the political positions and sincere feelings in that era, to be a guide for researchers and scholars in the fields of modern patriotic poetry.

This book can be requested from the library of the Karbala Center for Studies and Research located at Al-Baladiyya District, across the street from the Karbala's Education directorate, or through the sales outlets in the holy shrine of Al-Imam Al-Hussein "pbuh".
