The Ancient Buildings in Karbala

This book deals "Ain Al-Tamr" area that considered as the Karbala's cultural, religious and social center after the battle of "Ashura" and because of what Karbala has erceived regarding the tombs of martyrs, as this holy city distinguished for its religious and civilizational importance, as well the establishment of many ancient buildings were most important ones of them are the Ukhaydir fort, Muqatil palace, and the Synod.

The research has been divided into four main axes, were the first chapter, which is divided into two sections has dealt with two issues:

A) Karbala, the naming and establishment.

B) An exposition to the history of Karbala which goes in the depth of history.

While the second chapter revealed new information and mechanism of presentation as well as the evaluation of public buildings in Karbala. The third chapter dealt with techniques and methods of construction, and the fourth chapter was the conclusion, inferences and list of sources.
