185 Journalists, 60 TV Channels, and Dozens of Radio Stations and News Agencies Cover the Events of the Arbaeen

According to Tawfiq Al-Habali, the head of Iraqi Journalists Syndicate branch in Karbala, "185 Iraqi media journalists, 60 TV channels, and dozens of radio stations and news agencies, as well as 14 Satellite News Gathering vehicles (SNG) are broadcasting the events of the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) in the holy city of Karbala.

"The events did not witnessed Arab and foreign media coverage," Al-Habali added.

He also added, "In light of the directives of the head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate and the head of the Arab Journalists Union, Muayad al-Lami, to provide the tools for the success of the media coverage process, and to find better ways for journalists to work properly, the branch, in coordination with the local government, had provided the journalists with the necessary badges for the purpose of movement freely when the roads leading to the holy shrines got blocked, as well as the obtaining of official orders from security commanders to facilitate the movement of journalists."
