Hussein Fahmi Al-Khazraji was born in the holy city of Karbala in 1930 AD. He mastered poetry amazingly.

Al-Khazraji has completed his secondary education in 1948 AD, and worked as a primary school teacher in one of the city's schools for nearly a year, until he was appointed an employee in the Karbala's education directorate of back then.

He wrote many poems, most of which were published in newspapers and magazines due to their patriotic nature. He was an activist in the demonstrations against the occupation, where the most notably of which were the events of Iraq in 1948 and 1952 AD. Most of his poems had been chanted by the national demonstrators such as:

If you desire the liberation of Iraq                     do not allowed sectarianism in the country

Sectarianism will not liberate our people           it is the one who doomed them

Racism, likewise, is not welcomed                     we should free ourselves from it first
