A poet from Karbala honors Egyptian delegation during their visit to the Holy City

Among the poets and writers whom the holy city of Karbala honored the arena of literature and culture with them, in both Iraqi and Arab scenes, is the poet "Hussein bin Sayyid Mohammed Ali al-Alawi," attributed to the dignified Alawite family of "Al-Tatwa".

Local sources did not mention the exact date of the birth of the "Al-Alawi", but what was mentioned about him, is that he grew up in a very poor and industrious environment, however, this atmosphere did not impair his great ambition to reach the highest levels of poetry and writing, so he grew up as a capable poet and a well-known writer within social circles thanks to his proficiency in writing poetry in both classical and local slang, as well as his eloquence in mobilizing attention to the national and regional issues, therefore, necessitated his presence at all important official occasions, such as the reception of the Egyptian delegation that visited the holy city of Karbala at the time, where he delivered a poem at their honor (1).

This great poet was known for writing poems characterized by flowing emotions and clear statement without ambiguity, as well as the power of expression, artistic originality, and meaning smoothness, not to mention the high patriotism that filled many of his artistic collection, just like any zealous man who knew the status of their homeland.
