After arriving in the holy city of Mashhad, the united Karbala mourning procession organized in the Karbala'i Hussayniya their first mourning activities prepared within the program developed in coordination with the Department of Husseini rituals and processions in the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussein and al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them).
The media delegate of the aforementioned department accompanying the procession said that the mourning activity was a commemoration of the martyrdom of Lady az-Zahra, peace be upon her, and her granddaughter, Lady Fatima al-Ma’soomah, may God’s peace be upon her, with the participation of the people of Karbala residing in the city.
Adding: "After the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, the Radood Hussein Sgheyr Karbala'i chanted old and modern Karbala elegies, expressing grief and sorrow for the martyrdom anniversary of the Lady of the worlds' women and the beloved daughter of the Holy Prophet, Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household, and the wife of the Commander of the Faithful and the Mother of the Imams, peace be upon them; Lady Fatima az-Zahra peace be upon her."
He explained, "The second part of this mourning event was a commemoration of the martyrdom anniversary of Lady al-Ma'soomah daughter of Imam al-Kadhem, peace be upon them."
It is hoped that the mourning will continue in the city of Imam ar-Redha, peace be upon him, which will include several activities, the most important of which is the parade of a united mourning procession to extend condolences to the Imam, peace be upon him, for the death of his sister; Lady Fatima al-Ma'soomah, peace be upon her.
