AhlulBayt World Assembly publishes new book about Imam Hussain’s Revolution

The book “Imam Hussain’s (a.s.) Revolution” is a description and analysis of various aspects of the movement of Imam Hussein (a.s.), recognizing the Karbala revolution and understanding his personality. The book reveals large sections of the background and nature of true Islam.

According to En.abna24.com, the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly translated and published the book “Imam Hussain’s (a.s.) Revolution, Social Conditions and Human Effects” written by the late Allameh “Mohammad Mahdi Shams al-Din” in English.

The original title of the book is “ثورة الحسين(ع)؛ ظروفها الإجتماعية وآثارها الإنسانية” (Thawrat al-Hussein (a.s.); Zorufaha al-Ejtemaiyah wa Atharaha al-Ensaniyah” in Arabic and has now been published under the English name “Imam Hussain’s (a.s.) Revolution”.

Translated by Mr. Isa Makama in English, this book with 162 pages, in one volume in medium octavo size, and with the ISBN 3-756-529-964-978, is published by the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

The summary of the book reads:

The book “Imam Hussain’s (a.s.) Revolution, Social Conditions and Human Effects” is a description and analysis of various aspects of the Imam Hussein (a.s.) movement. According to the author, recognizing the Karbala revolution and understanding the personality of Imam Hussein (a.s.) reveals large parts of the background and nature of true Islam. Therefore, in this book, he has tried to achieve his goal by examining the political and social contexts of this uprising and searching for causes of this historical event, as well as following up on its effects and consequences.

Based on the findings of this study, the main reasons for the Karbala uprising were cases such as the Saqifa incident, the belief in the council in appointing a successor, the creation of a class system by the second caliph, incorrect financial and managerial methods of the third caliph, the intolerance of people toward Imam Ali (a.s.) reforms, and Muawiyah’s policy in the spread of poverty and fear in society.

According to the author, the results of Imam Hussein’s (AS) uprising were: the breakdown of religious frameworks, a deeper understanding of sins, the spread of new ethics in society, the creation of a spirit of struggle against oppression in the people, and the emergence of various uprisings against the oppressive system.
